2024-03-24-2012 - Whatever Makes Me Stronger Is My Strength
The quote I heard, on a podcast in the past few years*, paraphrasing went something like this: 'I define strength as whatever makes me stronger. So I do whatever makes me stronger and that is my strength.' And the main point of this quote, what it most poignantly means is, that it's important for one to do what makes one stronger going forward, no matter whether one is good/skilled at that yet or not. And sure, the definition of the word strength in this quote I don't think is in any dictionary, in fact it is really turning traditional definitions of strenth on its head. That's the point. Maybe this definition cuts directly to the essence of the idea of strength and the essence of strengthening oneself. In order to get stronger, one may or may not to keep doing actions that one is already strong in. In order to get stronger, one may need to step out of one's comfort zone, and do actions in areas where one is weak but that will make one stronger. * maybe Rich Dad Radio podcast in 2023, maybe not; I searched it up but couldn't find it on a web search. If I do find it then I'll update it here later. By author Morgan Jassen on lemonmama.com/lemonmama ~~~ Copyright © individual authors.
