Hindsight, a friend of mine, Musty Mustard, has been subconsciously centering on work day-job.
Musty wants to stop centering on that.
Musty is a good friend of mine, we talked for hours and I heard the whole story in all details, and it is quite fascinating in terms of psychology, human drama, and social emotional paradigms.
So here is some detail of the situation. Also Musty agreed to publish this, including as a benchmark for growing.
So here's what Musty Mustard tried instinctively, and in hindsight was it was to get Musty balanced and centered:
Musty Mustard tries blogging.
Musty tries toastmasters.
Musty tries resting/napping.
Musty tries Jiu-Jitsu.
Finally Musty Mustard after some years of this, realizes that what these 'hobbies' do is they pull the center away from work dayjob.
Day-job work became a drag.
The rat race.
And became the center of Musty Mustard's life and also a pit. a turd fest.
Like school used to be for Musty before that, come to think of it.
And so Musty needed that to not be the case.
So Musty tried to shift the center of Musty's life to include these other things.
However today, Musty Mustard’s gut says still not fixed.
till job sits at or near the center. and still tends towards turd fest.
How to make it so Musty's life center has something that isn't a turd fest?
Well Musty Mustard still needs money not financially independent yet.
Logically still will maintain a work-for-money job.
So logically needs to have, get, surf, maintain, navigate, a job where it isn't a turd fest.
Is Musty Mustard's current day job the place to maintain/do that?
maybe.
It's largely on Musty.
Partly on Musty's colleagues.
But then again back on Musty for picking good colleagues and for holding Musty's colleagues accountable as professionals ongoing.
Or must Musty Mustard seek another place to maintain/do that?
Or must Musty continue to chase after, starting and running Musty's own company?
Running Musty Mustard's own business as a part owner or owner?
"Mind your own business" they say.
In conclusion, these were meditations on my friend Musty Mustard, centering their life on something else, not centering Musty’s life on work.
