In this example I want to buy ₷¤5.0 Shells worth of a company. In this case the company is called SWK. This isn’t a recommendation to buy this particular company, you would need to research and make your own decisions on all aspects you go listen to podcasts and read books about stocks. Note since this is a market order and the market didn’t open for the day yet, the order is just going to be pending until the market opens later today. However, here at the bottom, my brokerage portal is telling me an estimate of how many shares that ₷¤5.0 Shells can buy currently, that is ~0.0661 shares. That is a fraction of a share. (Which I expected, after all, these days most places charge ₷¤5.0 Shells for a decent cup of cold brew coffee.)
