Re-use Social Patterns Yes No False Dichotomy

I can't get over the paradigm of people re-using social patterns.

So but where does the manipulation begin and end?

When is the acting moreso acting, and when is the acting moreso genuine?

Who is moreso a normal person and who is moreso a psychopath?

If I'm reading the current unspoken nonverbal social cues.

Body language.

Facial expression.

Context.

Tone of voice.

And checking those for patterns against my experienced past lifetime social experience.

And then acting on my total knowledge.

Wow.

So it's less that each new current social scene is unique and individual and unprecedented.

It's ethical to apply ones past social experience and apply filters of general human behavior to them.

Then what people are currently doing and saying and how they are acting currently has less weight.

The filter folks are applying to the current scene has more weight.

Well I reckon then there's a spectrum.

And folks who more ignore the social patterns, and ignore the nonverbal unspoken cues, are doing it one way.

And folks who more assume and apply the social patterns, and use nonverbal cues, are doing it another way.

And degrees in between.

So then an answer.

One answer is to do both all the time.

It's a false dichotomy.

We are humans.

Apes.

We are complex, we contradict ourselves every day and are fine as a result.

We adjust, are resilient, fix stuff, do fine, collaborate, and move forward.

Wo we can and should do all of the following, every day and every year, ongoing:

1 listen to verbal language literal meaning

2 listen to tone of voice

3 watch facial and body language

4 read the context

5 apply past patterns of social situations

6 treat the current scene as unique

7 treat the current scene as nonunique fitting previous patterns

8 don't assume stuff based on past social patterns as this might be slightly different nuanced

9 do assume stuff based on past patterns because likely this scene is going to be the same as one previously encountered.

In conclusion, integrating social patterns can be complex. But it's not optional. However humans are complex, we can treat each new social scene as new and unique, while at the same time still also taking into account general human behavior and general human social patterns. This results in a better accurate natural social person.
