This blog post is a review of this podcast episode:

00m.00s. mark.

Guests are from 'east point energy'.

They say they are talking about a "battery energy storage system"

The guest the persona Tyler Rynne compares it to a "pumped hydro" (term he uses) energy storage system like how electric companies also pump water up at night or at off-peak times, and then use that energy during the day especially at peak times.

Note: Wow like my friend Musty Mustard reported to me personally in the past! So I believe it that much more when I hear it now from someone else.

But so now persona Tyler says they are now using lithium ion battery systems to do the same.

9m. mark (or before) they are talking about:

"the clean peak standard" in Massachusetts...

"BESS" is their nickname for battery storage projects/programs...

"battery storage facilities" persona podcast host Danielle says.

"hydro from quebec ....coming in to the US..."

Morgan note:

Nice. Love Quebec. My friend Rowdy Strawberry has been there and had a quirky and colorful anecdote about one small part of Rowdy’s visit:

Morgan note: On the podcast technology aspect, I noticed specifically, that each guest/host had their own separate tabletop microphone on the table in front of them pointed at them (about 12" from their mouth or 18" at most). No one was wearing earphones. They were all 3x attendees seated around the same table in the same room.

Nice, it sounded pretty good while still not needing headphones nor head mics. And compared to say JRE podcast or PBD podcast, which iirc both use headphones, and which both ask the guests to talk directly into a boom mic.

But so I do hear this inside lowell episode sounds just a bit more tinny compared to JRE and PBD, However, this episode sound quality isn't bad, sound quality not bad at all; I can hear all the content.

27m. mark.

Morgan note: At/around/before the 27m. mark, yes they did talk for a long time about battery fires topics. lol. And they admit that on the podcast and joke about it. Nice, I like this podcast episode because they are talking on-topic and yet are keeping it light tone too.

In conclusion, I recommend you listen to this podcast episode if you are interested in any/all of the following things: BESS battery storage projects, Lowell, Massachusetts, Battery fires (just kidding), Three people having a good time chatting, people podcasting comfortably without headphones, East Point Energy, etc. etc. I personally am interested in some of these, and, and so, I did enjoy this podcast episode!

Quick final note: I do recommend watching the video to the podcast episode while watching, if you are going to listen/watch. Because one aspect of the podcast that in my opinion did add a lot of value, was, watching the podcast participants interacting with each other on the video! Btw thanks to them for that too!
