Search Yandex.com and Google.com

This post draft started out in my mind like ‘yandex is better than google yeah bro’....

But then by the end of the post, the wind left my sails, I softened a bit, and decided to use both search tools.

However this still shows, for what I was expecting, an example of yandex.com besting google.com.

This time, for the thing that I had been expecting them both to do, Yandex.com finds the info from my search term, first try.

Once again.

At the same time google.com doesn’t find same.

In this case, I was searching for song name based only on song lyrics that I heard on the radio. The lyrics and the search term I used were the following:

big "big hard" i just want to touch it "try your best not to bust it" lyrics

Since Yandex is russian site, as an american I don’t fully trust it in some ways for all purposes.

But for song lyrics, I think it’s fine.

However yandex search consistently finds what I am searching for quickly.

Whereas I feel like google either doesn’t find it, or withholds it, or else tries to show me stuff other than what I want, or else doesn’t understand my keywords as well as yandex.

Final thought: Instead of being like ‘yandex better bro...’, instead, am I expecting google search to do something that it did 15 years ago, but that it no longer does?...

If so then maybe all I need to do is realize that, and use google search for what it does well in 2026, and find other tools to do what google search used to do well 15 years ago.

Ok, I like this perspective. Work with what is in my control.

Furthermore, avoid false dichotomy. Why not use both search tools?
