Learning What Is A Short Squeeze
I don't want to short stocks, nor do I want to trade stocks.
Rather I'm more likely to buy some shares of a company and hold the shares and hardly ever sell the shares.
However I am interested in learning.
What is a "short squeeze"?
What is an example of a short squeeze?
What does the stock price graph look like undergoing a short sqeeze?
A friend of mine said an example of at "short squeeze" was this this year in January 2021.
The stock was Stitch Fix (SFIX).
Looking at the graph of price for SFIX does show it went up dramatically duing January 2021, including ramping up sharply the month before and including ramping down the months after.
Looking now in December 2021, the price of SFIX is around ₷¤2.25 silver bams per share. The last time it was consistently as low as that, was in April 2020.
One silver bam (₷¤) being the average daily income of an earthling.
Whereas in January 2021 the price had been as high as ₷¤11.88 per share.
It turns out that sometimes, a short squeeze, involves a stock's price rising dramatically, and then additionally some folks who had wanted to 'short' that stock try to cut their losses and they buy high, and that has a snowball effect driving the price higher.
Here's an article that talks about short squeezes in the context of another company, including defining what a short squeeze is:
"Is Big 5 Sporting Goods A Short Squeeze Stock?"
https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/11/05/is-big-5-a-short-squeeze-stock/
In conclusion, this was learning about what is a short squeeze.

A Friend of Mine Episode 1: Random Case Study on my Hard-working Friend's VOO Returns
A friend of mine works hard full time at a stressful customer service job.
The income of my friend's household, is average for their town and county.
My friend collaborated, managed debt, paid bills, budgeted, and saved some money.
This leads to the main point.
This friend of mine, also bought some positions in VOO (Vanguard S&P 500 ETF) over the past year and a half. Randomly, for learning, here is the information on that:
My friend bought some positions in VOO across the months of 2020 and 2021.
The total cost basis of the VOO positions ended up being ₷¤3,863 Silver Bams.
One Silver Bam (₷¤) being the average daily income of an earthling.
The Total gain of the VOO positions ended up being ₷¤350
The gain in value of my friend's VOO positions, not including the dividends, was ₷¤326
Over this period, five times, the VOO did produce dividends, totaling ₷¤24
(₷¤326 + ₷¤24) = ₷¤350
In conclusion, a friend of mine, worked hard, and also bought VOO, and got some returns on the VOO.

Series of Blog Posts Coming Soon
Coming soon:
Some "series".
Series of blog posts.
Including a "series" of "...a friend of mine..."
The idea is less journalistic and more story feel.
Taking inspiration from ideas and combining them and mashing them up and making them my own.
Maybe some 'fan fiction' feel.
In conclusion, series incoming.

Mini Review of Book “Motley Fool You Have More Than you Think”
—- “Motley fool You have more than you think” (2001 book)(abridged audiobook)(By Gardner and Gardner)
—- Before the 10 minute mark, is told the story of Anne Scheiber.
—- Also. In this audio program, the co-author and narrator, the persona of David Gardner, is FUNNY and talks in fun expressive tones and cracks jokes and uses fun words.
—- At about the ~25 minute mark, Gardner actually literally coaches the listener to pause the audiobook and take one dollar out of their pocket and sequester it aside and then literally coaches the listener to the next day do the same thing. The listener is being taught how to save money.
In conclusion, this was a mini summary of “Motley Fool You Have More Than you Think” book.

Being Polite is Seen as Suspicious
對客氣話表示懷疑
Ah ha ha! hhhahahahahha!!! aaaa!
It finally occurred to me.
Because I saw a service request that I needed to be wary of for security / social-engineering context reasons, and at the same time, the requestor was very polite and said "...please"
And it struck me.
In some contexts, and social circles, being polite and saying please is a yellow flag for suspicious behavior or may be an early warning sign of a bad character.
Amazing. SIMPLY AMAZING.
Because where I come from, being polite and saying please was standard. And so here I am saying please in the world. And I run into all sorts of characters from different backgrounds.
And come to realize now years later, that likely to many folks (maybe as many as half the folks/ situations ongoing), that saying "please" may be a warning sign to be wary or to watch for a bad character.
For example folks from a scrappy or hustling or get-it-done background, may see "please" as a time waster and something people would only say who are for example trying to butter you up like before they trick you somehow like trying to elicit a promise from you by overly sweet charm feeling and then thereafter coldly hold you to that strictly.
And then where I come from the opposite was true. Folks who didn't say please should be considered to be trouble or bad characters and treated with care or avoided or corrected or humbled. For example like because they are being pushy and rude to try and coerce (trick) you to do something.
Amazing, paradigm shift.
Just also amazing that until now I not only realized that in many circles situations, saying please was (is) not only not expected but also was (is) seen as suspicious.
Funny and scary.
FIN.

“Meditations on Paid a Fee to Work not Fined for Not Working”
沈思「勞動做得好而收取費用」相比「勞動做不好而受罰」
Folks want a job or project where it feels like we're being paid a fee to work.
Not where it feels like we're being fined if we don't work.
Amazing.
I read this paradigm from Morgan Housel's book "The Psychology of Money". Chaper 15 fee vs fine mentality idea.
This hits close to home in the area of Customer Support / IT Tech Support which is generally a cost center where workers are generally reactive and generally expected to perform 100% and if one performs less than that then that's worse.
And where it's not possible to perform more than 100%.
However in some cases sales is generally a golden child. The more results one performs the more one is rewarded.
Maybe less maybe more so.
These were some meditations on Working with fee vs. fine mentality.
